Founded in 2010, Camp Atterbury sponsors the annual fall deer and spring turkey hunt with the primary purpose of facilitating mental healing.
The intent of the Camp Atterbury Wounded Hero Hunt is to offer wounded veterans an experience that will last a lifetime.
The program is funded primarily through non-solicited charitable donations and operated by a committee board and volunteers with oversite by the Atterbury Sportsman Club (ASC). To help, see links below.

The vision of the Wounded Hero Hunt Committee encompasses the belief that our wounded heroes and veterans will achieve mental healing through community, fellowship and support. The program offers a unique opportunity and experience solely focused on the well-being and healing of the participants.

The Wounded Hero Hunt Committee is devoted to providing our wounded heroes an experience that removes them from the stressors and pressures related to the healing process. Our Vision
The Atterbury Sportsman Club dedicates its time and efforts to the delivery of quality outdoor experiences that focus on education, fellowship, and comradery. We do this while promoting sportsmanship in the form of hunting and fishing in a lawful and ethical manner.
Our club membership reach extends to both military and civilian members.
